“A beautiful soul is never forgotten”.
This was evident today.
All I can say is Thank you! Thank you MPLL. Thank you to a community that has shown me and especially my boys the mark their father has left on those he came in contact with. They were proud today and so was I.
It was another memorable Opening Day Baseball. MPLL, you have honored Steve O'Neill today and we thank you for this. I knew today was not going to be the easiest for me. Just last year was the last time Steve and I watched an MPLL game together. How fitting that his last trip out doors was to watch a game on Fleury Field somewhere he loved and enjoyed going to. Now he will be there to watch over all the games. Like Paul stated in his speech this morning, “have a seat on this amazing bench and enjoy a game just as Steve did”.
Inviting Aidan to throw out the first pitch to his brother was also a great moment especially since it was a surprise to Keiran. We are so lucky to have all of you and for your continued support.
I really hope that if you ever find yourself in these shoes, you have a community to reach out to and that supports you. I know I am blessed and I do not know what I would do without my village.
