Shiplap is a timeless material, so it plays well with most design elements like black and white, brass, and marble. I went with brass and a gray stain. First time incorporating it in my home and I LOVE it.
I decided to take the plunge and DIY my powder room. I've wanted to incorporate shiplap but did not know where to use it until I was home, in quarantine, working & living in the house 24/7 and just looking around to see what projects I had left open and/or unfinished.
I went to my trusty google search and bought some shiplap from Lowe's and shopped on Amazon & Wayfair as well for accessories and a new vanity.
Things I never thought I would be doing because that was your husbands thing & hobby, but when you are the diy'er and home "fixer-upper" you have to learn new trades if you want to show yourself and your kids that you can do it. So that is what I did, I learned how to use the table saw via youtube and a nail gun.
So I will share my DIY powder room make-over:
