pilates: what I'm using to reap all it's benefits


I'm a newbie with pilates (and barre) but have been reaping the benefits of these workouts by incorporating them with my weekly exercise routines. I'm a cardio buff and addict as I was an athlete my whole life and through college, so it was an adjustment to get my head around this type of training for my body and mind but have been growing to love how I feel doing it.


So, what is pilates? Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen, lengthen, and tone your muscles through controlled, repetitive movements. There are many advantages to incorporating pilates into your workout routine from increased strength to improved posture.


I typically only have experience doing these classes with my peloton membership, but know there are many opportunities out there for classes and locations in person.
